1985 West Germany • Eva-Maria Reick Design • Ltd. Ed. #468/5000
The Story
From the golden age of German doll making, “Ulrike” is the work of designer Eva-Maria Reick, produced by Gustel Wied / German Toys & Crafts (GTC) in West Germany. Hand-finished with a vinyl head and limbs on a soft cloth body, she carries real Kanekalon hair and warm brown eyes, and wears her original red calico dress with a white lace collar, knee socks, and buckle shoes. She is number 468 of a limited edition of 5,000, and arrives the way she left the workshop in 1985 — still in her original plastic, unplayed, accompanied by her signed Certificate of Authenticity and Kanekalon hair-care booklet. Decades on the shelf, never out of the box; the display box’s clear window has separated from the box at one corner, but the doll herself is pristine.
